OMED 2022OMED 2022 was held October 27-30 at Boston, MA and virtually. The AAO program at OMED 2022 topic was Back to Basics: Focus on Somatic Dysfunction. Program Chair: Robert N. Agnello, DO Back to Basics: Focus on Somatic Dysfunction"Back to Basics: Focus on Somatic Dysfunction" will have our expert faculty engage participants with somatic dysfunction from basic definition to application to include all body regions to which osteopathic manipulation is provided. Then a focus on different classic osteopathic manipulations treatment strategies will be provided which include modalities such as myofascial release, muscle energy, HVLA, counterstrain, FPR/STILL. With the ACOPMR group we will highlight the extremities and PINS technique. With ACOFP a focus on headache and COVID will be provided. Faculty members will proceed in adding their own personal spin to how they treat these body regions as well. By the end of the course we will have provided updates on current definitions, evidence, research and systemic applications to the understanding of somatic dysfunction.
