Exhibit At ConvocationIn 2024, the AAO’s Convocation attracted more than 1,400 registered attendees, mostly practicing osteopathic physicians, residents, and medical students. The majority of physician attendees specialize in family medicine and other primary care fields, and many attendees are believers in complementary and alternative medicine. Many make their major yearly purchases at Convocation, and they rely on this event to learn about new medical programs, equipment and other innovations. There will be a new process for exhibitors in 2025. Please contact [email protected] with the subject line: Interested Exhibitor for Convocation 2025. Acceptance for exhibiting at Convocation 2025 is not guaranteed. AAO Convocation Cancellation & Refund PolicyAll cancellation requests must be received in writing. All cancellations must be received in writing. An administrative fee of 20% of the total registration fee will be charged for cancellations made by Feb. 21, 2025. After Feb. 21, registrants who cancel may apply up to 50% of their registration fee to another AAO continuing medical education course that is scheduled within the next 12 months. The remainder of the fee will not be refunded or applied to other AAO courses. Meal tickets are non-refundable, and there is no discount for not attending food functions covered by the main registration fee. To cancel your registration for the 2025 Convocation and/or the pre-Convocation courses, contact AAO CEO Sherri L. Quarles, by emailing her with “Convocation Cancellation” in the subject line at [email protected] or write to her at the American Academy of Osteopathy, 3500 DePauw Blvd., Suite 1100, Indianapolis, IN 46268-1136. Who May Attend Convocation? The AAO’s primary educational objective is to provide programs that enhance the philosophical foundation, palpatory diagnostic skills, and manipulative techniques of AAO members, nonmember DOs, other individuals who are licensed for the unlimited scope of practice of medicine, and those in programs leading to such licensure. Although other health care professionals are welcome to learn about osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) at AAO programs, attending the AAO’s Convocation or its Pre-Convocation courses is not a substitute for graduating from osteopathic medical school and completing graduate medical education. Simply participating in continuing medical education programs in manual techniques does not provide the necessary training and skills to practice OMM.
